The Friends of Little Tokyo Branch Library, Motorway One Music and Little Tokyo Branch Library present an afternoon of jazz representing the continuing legacy of Bronzeville in the post-WWII Little Tokyo community. Featuring: Scott Nagatani (piano) with Tracy Wannomae (saxophone) & Taiji Miyagawa (bass) and BichNg Productions (a high-powered piano and drum set duo playing their renditions of jazz standards and classic rock songs inspired by Chris Wabich's flare for funky time signatures and Middle Eastern grooves & Jenny Ing's jazz/broadway piano stylings and vocal arrangements). Special Guest Speakers include: Kathie Foley-Meyer (creator/director of Project Bronzeville) and Tim Toyama (cowriter w/ Aaron Woolford of the upcoming theatre production "Bronzeville" directed by Ben Guillory and sponsored/presented by the Robey Theatre Company).
