The Little Tokyo Branch Library of the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL) system provides children and adult literacy programs to all Downtown Los Angeles communities (Civic Center, Little Tokyo, Bunker Hill, Arts District, Skid Row, and South Park). In the entire city, the Little Tokyo Branch Library is the sole provider of current Japanese language periodicals and holds an extensive Japanese American Heritage Collection as well as manga and anime. Additionally, it also administers the most circulated library DVD collection in the entire city.

- About: The Friends of Little Tokyo Branch Library, Motorway One Music and Little Tokyo Branch Library present an afternoon of jazz representing the continuing legacy of Bronzeville in the post-WWII Little Tokyo community.
Scott Nagatani (piano) with Tracy Wannomae (saxophone) & Taiji Miyagawa (bass) and
BichNg Productions (a high-powered piano and drum set duo playing their renditions of jazz standards and classic rock songs inspired by Chris Wabich's flare for funky time signatures and Middle Eastern grooves & Jenny Ing's jazz/broadway piano stylings and vocal arrangements).
Special Guest Speakers include:
Kathie Foley-Meyer (creator/director of Project Bronzeville) and Tim Toyama (cowriter w/ Aaron Woolford of the upcoming theatre production "Bronzeville" directed by Ben Guillory and sponsored/presented by the Robey Theatre Company).
